Summer is here and in just a few days, we are celebrating the 4th of July and people are getting all excited throughout the country. There are plenty of patriotic events happening in and around San Diego, including picnics, parades, festivities, and of course, fireworks!

The summer heats up at LEGOLAND® with a star-spangled Fourth of July celebration, Red, White and BOOM! View a spectacular fireworks display in designated locations throughout the Park starting at 8:30 pm. But you don't have to wait until night time to have fun. Kids can enjoy various activities such as family picnic games, like water-balloon tosses, burlap sack races, the Family Build Challenge and LEGO Hamburger relay all throughout the day.

Experience the Fourth of July in OB Pier with a magnificent fireworks display. During the day, you can shop along Newport Avenue, have a picnic with friends and family, play in the sand, and swim in the ocean. Parking is available at the Main Beach Parking Lot and at the Pier Parking Lot. Be sure to come early as it bound to be packed!

Another reason to start getting up early as 4th of July heats up in Coronado Island. A local tip is to go there by 4:30 AM to reserve your spot. It's going to be crowded and the traffic is going to be heavy, so plan on walking or biking. Once you find your spot, you can start enjoying the activities lined up for the day.
